With TMPGEnc DVD Author you can change (author) you MPEG-1 / MPEG-2 files to DVD-Video structured files. Using high quality MPEG files made by the "TMPGEnc Plus 2.5 series" or captured by an MPEG capture device, it is possible to perform your own DVD authoring quick and easy.

The outputted file structure (.ifo, VOB) can be burned to a DVD disc using the DVD Writing Tool included from version 1.5 or using your own DVD writing software. This way you can create your own original DVDs. Furthermore, Version 1.6 even allows writing on DVD+R DL (Double Layer) if you have the appropriate DVD writer and media. Since DVD Author also supports DVD-Video files (VIDEO-TS.ifo) as input files, you can also cut out scenes from your favourite DVD and make a new DVD-Video. You are also able to create interesting menus using the "motion menu" feature also included in the product. We recommend you to try this easy to use authoring software.

Latest changes:

• New: Key frames information of MPEG files (output from TMPGEnc MPEG Editor) can be imported and used as chapters. (IMPORTANT: First, correct the extension from ".key frame" to ".keyframe")
• Updated: DVD Writing Tool has been renewed. The "Supported DVD drives" list has been updated too.
• Fixed: An error, related to IEEE1394 connected drives (when using DVD Writing Tool), has been fixed.
• Fixed: Some sources made from DVD Recorders could not be imported. Improved MPEG video decoding speed
• Fixed: In some cases, when reading an MPEG file with wrong data, the preview could freeze.
• Fixed: Problems related to shortcut keys in Track settings
• Changed: When authoring, the padding data from MPEG video stream won't be removed as they used to be.
