Using VSO PhotoDVD
Now let's see how PhotoDVD works, in the screen below you can add pictures one by one or a few at the time. A whole folder with pictures can be added too.

As you can see PhotoDVD supports most picture formats which are used by very popular picture editors.

In the next screen you can add a song which will be played during the picture slideshow.

In this screen you can select the DVD burner you want to use, and which title the DVD will get.
The red spot to the right of the target device selection box indicates no media is inserted in the target device. As soon as a recordable DVD media is inserted
this light will turn green (see the 2 pictures below).
From within this screen you can also set the Volume label, your desired output format and the temporary 'working folder' PhotoDVD wil use whilst making the DVD.
Also in this screen you can select between 2 display modes, Full Screen (4:3) and Widescreen (16:9).

Meaning of the color indicator:
- Red = no media inserted
- Green = empty media inserted
- Yellow = used media inserted but rewriteable
Selecting the settings button will allow you to change such options as Pan effects, Zoom effects, Cutting, Zoom factor and transition time. We found the defaults to be
very good for most instances but you may change to what best suits your needs.

This screen shows how long PhotoDVD needs to compile the slideshow, and how many pictures and music files are used for the slideshow.

Here is shown the progress and you can see a small preview to see how the slide show will look when finished.

After the movie has been compiled PhotoDVD automatically burns the slideshow on DVD as show in the next 2 pictures.

After the slideshow has been written on DVD you can select to open the project or start a new project, also there is an option to delete the working folder.

In the screen below there is show a snapshot made with PowerDVD v5.0 deluxe to show the quality of the slideshow, personally I found the zoom effect very smooth and also the quality was very good.
VSO Software really has improved the zoom effect a lot because in the previous version of PhotoDVD the zoom effect was less smooth, this was a big improvement of this version also the compiling time was
faster than with the previous version, we would recommend users who already bought PhotoDVD to upgrade to this version.

Also a good thing is that PhotoDVD leaves a copy of the pictures on the DVD, incase you need them later again.
