Adding Audio
PhotoDVD enables the user to add audio streams to the DVD, which can be played during playback of the slideshow. This will make it less boring for the folks pretending to be interested in your holiday pictures. Infact, you can add in 3 different channels of audio, selectable by the language button on your DVD player remote control.

One thing that came to my attention is that right clicking the filelist doesn't work, you have to add in the files using the icons below the filelist. This doesn't seem to be consistent with the process of adding the images, but I suppose I am quite picky on interaction design.
I ripped two tracks from CD to MP3 using my favorite ripper, Exact Audio Copy. Ofcourse you can use your own favorite ripper, or select one of the audio rippers from our software section. After adding these two files, the bar on the right hand side of the screen showed me that the slideshow length was 00:10:52, and the audio duration 00:11:18, and that the audio would be cut. This would have suited me just fine. However, when I played the resulting DVD, the slideshow was exactly 14 minutes, so instead of cutting the tracks, it looped them. This seems to be related to bug 2, this bar and calculating of display length needs fixing!
This adding of audio to the slideshow is a nice feature, but, as with the additional editing, it's still relatively limited. If you want to edit your audio, you will need an external audio editor. For example, I wanted to run the first track for 2 mins, then switch to a different track, etc. I dont think this feature would be to hard to implement, since they already know how to cut the audio at the end of the DVD slideshow anyway. So there's another window of opportunity for the guys at VSO.
