Extra templates
On the website, you can find more templates to use with other programs. (Linkage) Some of the more popular choices for the templates are Adobe Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro etc. With these templates you can use your favorite program to apply the templates to create the labels you want.
Tips
Here are some tips that might help you successfully label your media and possibly prevent problems.
| Do's and Don'ts |
- Do make sure that once you put the label on the CD/DVD that you don't pull it off again to re-adjust it.
- Don't put two labels on your CD/DVDs as it will unbalance the disc.
- Don't to use cheap media, which is usually already of bad quality, balance wise.
- Do let the ink dry on the label, as it could bubble up and unbalance the disc if you don't.
- Do check that your printer heads are working well and test a template on a plain piece of paper before printing to the label. You can do this while calibrating the printer.
- Don't apply the labels to discs that have a raised top surface as the label will not lie flat and the disc will become unbalanced.
- Don't print over the same label twice, it may seem like a good idea but it can again unbalance your discs, due to the amount of ink that has doubled in some areas.
- Don't use media that is classed as an overprint already. That media has an extra layer to cover imperfections.
