Exporting the DVD

There are quite a few things that you can do to the DVD with DVDReMake but for this review I stuck to the basic features. There is the help file, along with online guides, aswell as the support forum if users wish to explore the features further. Once the DVD is customised you can either test export it or fully export it. It is advisory to test export the DVD first and even better is to burn this small test DVD to a DVD RW to test in your player. Only when you are comfortable with what you have done should you do a full export. The time it takes to export can vary due to your PC Setup and the DVD you are remaking. This test DVD didn't take that long to export because the source and destination files where on different physical Hard Drives. If you do a full export and then realise you have to modify something, you can use the update modified files setting. This will only update the files that are affected by your slight change and therefore save time when updating the output

once the output is finished and you are finally satisfied with the editing then you can either just close DVDReMake or save the project file for later use in case you may need it again (recommended). If you have a dual burner DVD and don't need to compress then you can simply burn the files with your burning software. You can also use compression tools to reduce the DVD to fit onto a single layer DVD if required, the choice is yours

Overall, once you get used to the layouit and workings of DVDReMake, it doesn't take long to personalise a DVD into something you would prefer to have in the first place. To do some of the process's manually switching between various other tools will probably take longer overall (usertime) and also require the user to have a certain degree of knowledge regarding DVD workings and structures. For it's price DVDReMake saves you a lot of time and effort but also gives you quite a lot of control and allows you to process the DVD using just one tool. If you are like me and value your time greatly then the saving in this alone will justify the price of the program if you plan to use it regularly
