Conclusion
Being an avid DVDshrink user, I was asked to do a review of 1Click DVD Copy Pro.
Now personally I had never used this program before, much less heard of it.
So I started reviewing it, some what hesitant and to my surprise the program won me over.
Why would I be hesitant, some readers might wonder? Well because why change something that works for something new and unknown?
The basic things that won me over the most were the degree of automation, speed of the copy and the high level of support this program has.
It can fully automatically set you up with the right settings, because it detects the source that is used.
You check if the settings meet your approval and adjust where required.
It really can't get any simpler then that.
Overall the speed but more importantly the quality of the copies where of consistently high quality. The speed of course is more related to the system and DVD readers you have, which brings me to the one option I would like to have seen in 1Click DVD Copy Pro.
It's may not be a real big issue, because it can copy fast, but the shutdown option after copying is one feature ommitted from this software that I would loved to have seen included.
For those of you that don't have the best and latest PC setup or components the copy can take a little longer. If you want to make the copy on an older computer which may take longer due to it's lower specs, the shutdown option is ideal for shutting it down after an automated copy. *update* The newer version, 2.0.0.3 has got this option.
Of course, being the Dutchmen that I am, I'm going to mention the pricing to you as a con.
It's a bit steep for the software you get, but that does entitle you to get a free copy of CopyToDVD SE. With the installation of this software you can make data and audio backups too as well as the DVD backups that 1Click DVD Copy pro allows.
Granted a good sum of the fee probably ends up in support and development costs, but I don't think many people will part with their money so easily.
Some people however will like all the option it has and like to pay extra for the excellent support it has. The fact that there are real people waiting to answer your questions quickly and with a very good level of expertise really is a bonus. Plus you have someone to complain too should anything go wrong!
By the way, there is also a non pro version with diminished capabilities, see the comparison here.
It costs less, but also has less control.
