Test results
This is a resource intensive program that depends on the system you have to encode. You may find that your times may be slightly faster or slower than the ones achieved during testing in this review.
I've compared the timings against another product that has the same function, VSO's ConvertXToDVD.

You can see that some movie types are faster to (re-)encode then others and that DivxToDVD is faster then ConvertXToDVD on the same files.
I have noticed that some AVI files didn't take and after speaking with LG Software, they've told me it's down to the codec used to code the movie.
AVI files can be coded with a number of codec's, some of which are not licensed in DivxToDVD.
The total encoding time is very much down to the system specifications of the PC you use and the compression on the original file to be converted but you can expect to get an hour long movie encoded in about in 60 minutes if your system specifications are similar to the ones used in this review.
Now will we take a look and check if these movies are compatible with some of the more standard DVD-Players. For testing purposes we have used one standalone DVD player, one PC DVD playback device and the X-Box gaming console. This should give us a good idea of the compatibility of the recordings. Of course we have used media that is known to be of good quality and checked it for any potential errors to rule out any media problems. Any issues in my opinion should be down to the software's recording engine. When played back on the tested playback devices no issues where noted and playback was smooth.

The quality is nice, there's no visible quality degradation. You have to keep in mind that the program only converts the video that it is presented with; it doesn't improve the video quality.
However it also means it shouldn't degrade the video quality either.
In this case you can be safe in the knowledge that the quality is not degraded.
