Recording and Verification tests
Recording:
The standard CDR-Zone.COM recording tests where used to test the DVD+R DL Media
at the maximum record speeds.
CopyToDVD from VSO-software was used to burn a Video DVD and Data DVD from my Hard drive.
The entire process should take between 35 and 37 minutes to record 6.32 GB of Video files and 45 minutes to record a 8GB DVD Data projectat
2.4x, and around 24 minutes at an over burn speed of 4x.
CopyToDVD
finalising the Verbatim DVD+R D/L media after recording the Video DVD project to the
Verbatim DVD+R D/L media at its rated
2.4X. The Data DVD compilation of 8Gb was burnt with the Pioneer DVD 108
with no problems at its rated speed.

CopyToDVD recording the Verbatim DVD+R D/L with the Pioneer
DVR 108 at an Over Burnt
speed of 4x:

Verification and error checking:
VSO Inspector, Nero CD Speed and
where used to check the recorded DVD for any bad sectors that might be present. As the screenshots below shows, no bad sectors where found during the scan:

To check for any surface or PI/PIF errors on the recorded DVD-RW,
K Probe was used to scan the recorded Media at a read speed of 4x:

The tests show that very low PI/PIF errors were reported at 4x
and this is a quality recording of this media on the Pioneer DVR 108 at an over
burn speed of 4x.
NOTE: "The less PI/PIF errors that are found on a media then in theory the longer the
archival life of the media and so this media should have a good archival life
without data loss, that said these are to be used as a basic guideline to the quality of the recorded media only."
