Many thanks must to goto Conrexx / Ritek Europe for sending us this media to review for our CDR-Zone readers. In this review we get to look at the 'Traxdata' 8X DVD-R Media which at the time of writing this review was the flaship media of the RITEK range.
As the leading brand of RITEK media in europe we will pay special attention to see if paying the little extra for the Traxdata version of the Ritek G05 dye gives us consistent recordings at rated speeds and above if applicable.
Our test media arrived in 2 versions - a box of 5 with each media having its own Jewel as well as in a full size DVD style jewel case ensuring no damage could be done to the discs. The top writing surface of the disc is frosted and embelished with the Traxdata logo.
Maximum reported storage is 4.7 GB and the medias maximum recording speed in our review drives reported as 12x.

The recording surface is a dark purple and carries the Ritek G05 dye code according to VSO Inspector and DVDInfo.
