Our review media arrived shrink wrapped in a pack of 5, each with its own single jewel case own ensuring no damage could be done to the discs. The top writing surface of the disc is a frosted silver effect with the Traxdata logo in silver.
Ritek are at the forefront of High speed 16x DVD+R technology and these discs will be a good benchmark to compare with future 16x DVD+R media to be released by other manufacturers.
Available burning speeds in our BEN Q 1620 with firmware B7H9 showed 2.4x up to 16x recording speeds available, capacity of the disc was 4.7 GB and to be classed as a good media, compatibility problems should not be present with both PC and newer standalone DVD Players.
The recording surface is purple in colour and carries the RITEK-R04-01 dye code according to VSO Inspector
and Nero CD Speed.
VSO software's new Media information utility - VSO Inspector and
Nero CD Speed from ahead software was used for gathering our information about the inserted media.
CD Speeds Disc quality test was also used to check the recorded DVD for
errors and compare the reordered files against the original ones. The hardware
used for this review was the BEN Q 1600 which had the free upgrade to the 1620
applied to it.
As the above screenshot from VSO Inspector shows, the Media Code/Manufacturer ID of RITEK-R04-01 which is proof that it manufactured with the well proven recordable dye by leading media manufacturer Ritek.
Nero CD Speed confirming the Media ID code and available recording speeds in the BEN Q 1620:

Of utmost importance is the fact that compatibility is maintained with existing
DVD video players and DVD ROM drives. Traxdata work hard on ensuring their
particular brand of the Ritek dye is of top quality and the discs should show no
errors during our tests and playback on standalone DVD players known to play
DVD+R media.
