Conclusion
Conclusion:
The Ritek 4x DVD-R silver printable media burnt perfectly at 8x ( twice its
rated speed ) using both CopyToDVD and DVDDecrypter,
recording either data DVD or Video ISO images on our NEC 2510A and Pioneer
A107 XLB using special adjusted firmware's. The stock firmware's of these drives
recognised these discs at their rated 4x also and no problems or errors where found on the
Ritek Media used during these tests.
VSO Inspector reported no problems with its
scan of the disc and the K-probe scans are very impressive for a disc recorded
at twice its rated speed - indeed this results would of been very acceptable for
a 4x record only. A lot of new DVD drives are coming onto the market that allow
you to over speed your media and at CDR-Zone.COM we recommend these as the 4x
discs to use for over speeding to 8x. The test DVD film that was recorded for this review played without any flaws in the
standalone DVD player and recorded without any problems on a Sony GX3 standalone DVD recorder.
The writing surface was easy to
print onto with the Epson R300. The Ritek media also passed the verification tests meaning no errors where found and we had a reliable backup of our important records.
We where impressed by the look of the finished printed disc, and thank
BigPockets for bringing these discs to our readers attention. If you want
something with great quality ( these are A grade Ritek media ), and a very
unusual and effective printable surface then we can only recommend these discs.
Go be the envy of your friends with 3D holo style printed discs!
