Printing and Playback
Printing to the disc:
For this test the Epson R300 will be used to print onto the
silver printable surface compare what the original DVD and the Sample look like.
The disc used for this test will be Finding Nemo from Walt Disney and has been
chosen due to its colourful design. Having printing to the disc, a scan was
taken in our HP 2175 printer/scanner. These results are posted below:
The original Store DVD:
The Silver printable DVD-R printed onto with the HP 2175:
The printed disc to this reviewer looks very impressive with a very 3D feel to
the finished product and the 'Holo' effect can be quite clearly seen. What is not clear from the scan is just how 3D it actually looked and seeing the result in real life will give a much better impression than the scan we took does.
Playback:
To check the playback, the same playing tests has used on our Verbatim Movie Reel review where carried out. Below is a table of all devices this disc was played
in to check compatibility.

Both the software DVD Players played the DVD without error and so did the
Bush standalone, the Sony GX3 Home recorder and the Cyber home 512 DVD player.
The Sony GX3 had no problems recognizing and recording to the media and playback
was noted as perfect, with no skipping noticed at all whilst watching the
playback, even if the longest, most compressed mode of recording was chosen.
These are very recommended DVD-R discs for any DVD recordable device!
