Packaging and presentation:
Our test media arrived individually packed in single jewel cases, ensuring no damage could be done to the discs.
The top writing surface of the disc is Silver and can be printed onto using such
hardware has the Epson R200/300 series of printers.
According to our media information software ( VSO Inspector and CDSpeed ), this
disc carries the Ritek G04 dye code and this is guaranteed grade A stock.
Many companies use this dye for their products such as Traxdata/Ridata and
Datasafe as it is known for having great compatibility at a very good price.
DVD-R information:
In these tests the software used for all the recording where CopyToDVD 3 and DVDDecrypter.
VSO software's new Media information utility - VSO Inspector and CDSpeed was used for gathering our
information about the inserted media, DVDInfoPro and CDCheck, were used to check the recorded DVD for errors and compare the
reordered files against the original ones. The hardware used for this review
consisted of the NEC 2510a Dual layer drive, the Pioneer A107 XLB DVD-RW,
the LiteOn-IT 1213S DVD-RW and the BenQ 1600A DVD-RW Dual layer .
As the above screenshot from VSO Inspector shows, the Media Code/Manufacturer ID of RITEK
G04 which is proof that it manufactured with the well proven and extremely
popular recordable once dye by RITEK.
CDSpeed confirming the media code:
All the review DVD RW drives saw the discs as their correct 4x rating although
we must mention that if both the Pioneer and the NEC had adjusted
firmware's applied then 8x recording was available for these discs.
Capacity of the disc was 4.38 GB and compatibility problems should not be present with both PC and newer standalone DVD Players. RITEK are acclaimed as one of the best brands of DVD-RW media in
