Many thanks must goto DigitalPromo for sending us this media to review for our readers. In this review we get to look at the BenQ branded 8x DVD-R media with a MID ID Code of SONY 08D1.

"Recordable Write Once Media (WORM) single sided 4.7GB media from BenQ offers the user 8x recording at high quality utilizing the same dye as used for SONY. For use in DVD-RW video recorders and DVD-RW data drives for computer use, this media can be recorded at an over speed of 16x by default on newer supported writers."

All of the recording to this media during this review where done using Nero CD Speed's Create CD test. This ensured that the maximum amount possible was recorded onto this media and we could get a good indication of how well the media has been recorded to at all parts of the disc.

VSO Inspector was used for gathering our information about the inserted media, and the hardware used consisted of both the NEC 3500AG and Pioneer DVR 108 DVD+/-RW D/L drives for recording and the Liteon 1633S for scanning the media with CDSpeeds Disc Quality tests.
