Conclusion
Conclusion:
The Traxdata 8x DVD+R media burnt perfectly at 8x using DVDDecrypter and the NEC 3500AG, as well as showing extremely impressive results at recording speeds of 50% past the rated speed of 12x with CD Speed on the Pioneer DVR 108.
No Errors where found on the 5 DVD+R's used during these tests at either 8x or 12x recording speeds and all the Video DVD compilations played perfectly on all standalone DVD players they were tested on.
It seems Traxdata are keeping up their good record for making quality media for todays faster recording needs and we truly believed we had a 12x media in our hands when using it with the Pioneer DVR 108. CDR-Zone have no hestitation in recommending this media to anyone that wants good reliable error free backups of their Data/Video needs even at higher than rated recording speeds.
All the software DVD Players played the DVD without error except for the Technics DVD Player which we find to be consistent with over similar tests on DVD+R media and the Technics device. Most importantly with any type of recordable media, the Traxdata 8x+R media also passed all the verification tests meaning no errors where found and we had a reliable backup of our important records even at 12x recording speeds. The Kprobe scans looked almost identical for both the 8x and 12x recording respectively.
We again would like to take this opportunity to thank Conrexx/Ritek Europe for sending us this media for us to review for our readers.
