Conclusion
The E-proformance 8x DVD-R media burnt perfectly at 8x using CopyToDVD and
4x using DVDDecrypter, recording either
data DVD or Video ISO images on either our NEC 2510A or Lite-On It SOHW 1213S. At the time of writing this review these discs will record at 8X on the NEC 2510A using adjusted firmware by Herrie.
No Errors where found during scans on the E-performance Media used during these tests. The E-proformance media more importantly, also passed the verification tests we used in this review, meaning no errors where found and we had a reliable backup of our important records or family home movies.,/p>
We must add at the time of writing this review only the NEC 2510A with herries firmware would write these DVD-R at 8x, with the LiteOn seeing it as only 6x rated, which we hope will be fixed with a new firmware update soon.
It offers incredible value for money for a 8x media with and great compatibility and low PI error levels according to K-Probe - If you are a user of cheap media and have had problems with them playing in DVD standalones or storing data, we highly suggest you check these out!
