Verification and Playback
VSO Inspector was used to check the recorded DVD for any bad sectors that might be present. As the screenshot below shows, no bad sectors where found during the scan:
To check for any errors on the recorded DVD, DVDInfoPro's "CD\DVD error test" utility was used to Verify the recorded Media. The screenshots show that no read errors were reported by either software during their error checks.

DVDInfoPro reporting no errors on checking the recorded EProformance 8x-R media:

One final check was made using KProbe and the LiteOn SOHW 1213S to check for PI/PIF errors on the recorded media. PI/PIF errors are only an indication of the error rate for the recorded media, these scans are not an absolute guarantee of recording quality but can be taken has a guide on to how long the archival life of the media is and how well the media has been recorded on the hardware used.

The scan was performed at 4X with PI/PIF Sum8. The lower the better is always the aim of this test and from the below screenshot you can see that the media produced very few PI/PIF errors, and infact was well within excepted limits.
To check the playback, the same playing tests has used on our Verbatim Movie Reel review where carried out.
Both the software DVD Players played the DVD without error and so did the Bush standalone, and no problems where noted on our Cyber home 512, which was inline with other DVD-R media we had used on it. The media also recorded without any problems on our Sony GX3 standalone home DVD recorder and no noted glitches where noted during playback of the recorded media.
