 Smart MP3 Renamer is a program designed to rename and tag mp3 albums. It retrieves the album details from the Freedb.org website and automatically renames and tags the mp3 files according to the users requests. If the album isn't available in the Freedb database the program reads the embedded mp3 tags and renames the files according to the found tags. There are several options available for manipulating the new filenames and their tags. It supports both ID3v1 and ID3v2 tags.
Changes in Current Version:
- Use the delete key to remove files from the list of new and old filenames
- Bug fix. the tracknumber id3 tag was sometimes left blank
- Bug fix. 'm', 'p' or '3' in the end of a filename was automatically removed
