 Smart MP3 Renamer is a program designed to rename and tag mp3 albums. It retrieves the album details from the Freedb.org website and automatically renames and tags the mp3 files according to the users requests. If the album isn't available in the Freedb database the program reads the embedded mp3 tags and renames the files according to the found tags. There are several options available for manipulating the new filenames and their tags. It supports both ID3v1 and ID3v2 tags.
Changes in Current Version:
- Freedb support for compilations and releases with multiple artist
- Get individual values from each mp3 file for specific ID3 tag fields
- New string manipulating functions for the new filenames
- Possible to set specific write options (Write/Leave/Clean) for each ID3 tag field
