In an effort to help their users obtain the maximum recording quality on media used with their 16.x.x series of drives, BenQ have introduced QScan. By checking the recordable media for Track and focus errors ( displayed as TE and FE in the BenQ software ), users can know check how well their media can be recorded without actually having to worry about wasting a disc getting a 'coaster'.
This is of great help if you have a batch of media that is giving varying quality ( ie. not every disc in batch is recording consistently at the same speed, one disc records great the next gives you a coaster ). Now if you have any concerns about your batch consistency you can scan each disc for its optimal recording speed on supported BenQ drives.
As well as this it also allows the user to see Media information, available write speeds and disc capacity on the inserted blank media.
Supported BenQ DVD Re-Writers:
DW1620 (Start from firmware version B7M9)
DW1610 (Start from firmware version B8M9)
DW1620 Pro (Start from firmware version B7P9)
Notice: A fully detailed User manual is included in the ZIP file.
