It's media review time again here at CDR-Zone.COM and in the first media review of 2006 we get to check out the Philips branded 16x DVD+R media kindly supplied to us by Philips. We also get to show off 3 new review drives that have arrived here in the CDR-Zone.COM basement - the Plextor PX-755A being kindly donated by Plextor Europe.
Not to be left out the good folk at SVP Communications have kindly donated both the NEC ND-4551 and LG GSA-4166B recording devices. So new drives and new media - a lot to get to grips with but we have also now switched to using the Plextor 755A as our recommended scanning device for the disc quality tests.

Some information on the media about Philips 16x DVD+R media:
As Philips don't make their own 16x DVD+R media, there really isn't a lot of information I can give our readers. But Philips only normally use media from manufacturers that have passed their internal quality checks and gained a license from them.
For more information about how this media meets Philips internal quality checks and gains a certified by Philips license please see Here
The full indepth review with all new recording devices can be found Here. As always I look forward to hearing your comments and results with this media in the Media forum.
