About PgcEdit:
PgcEdit is a DVD IFO editor designed to allow the modification of the navigation commands and parameters of an already authored DVD structure.
It is designed to supplement IfoEdit.
PgcEdit is free and open source (GPL license).
Changelog, v 0.3.2:
"New 'Play All' Title" utility: create a PGC with all the VOB/Cell IDs
of the current VTST. May be used to play together multiple episodes, or
to 'backup' the VOB/Cell IDs before remapping them in the PGC editor.
The title or menu duration time is now displayed in the PGC selector.
"Set DVD-TEXT General Name" can now recognize all configurations, and
set also the DVD-TEXT "Volume Movie Name". However, the utility still
can change the names for the first DVD-TEXT Language Unit only.
Added some Links in the "Jump and Call" menu of the command editor.
Moved the 'New DVD' and 'Import VTS Titles' functions in the File menu.
Big bug with VOBU_ADMAP table being trashed when blanking a titleset
with an imported clip fixed.
"New DVD" and "Blank Out All PGCs" bugs in standalone EXE fixed.
Bug when importing from a VTS number > 7 fixed.
Jump to target for title > 15 was not working. Fixed.
Little problem with the create new folder option of the Browse for Folder
dialog that was repeating the current folder name twice fixed.
It is now possible to enter hex values with "0x" (needed "0X" before).
Message "DVD Modified" appearing too late when doing "New DVD" fixed.
Little window initialization bug appearing in rare circumstances fixed.
Documentation:
Installation of PgcEdit:
PgcEdit is written in Tcl/Tk. Tcl/Tk is an interpreted scripting language. It is therefore necessary in theory to have a Tcl/Tk interpreter to use PgcEdit. Windows does not have such an interpreter.
PgcEdit.exe is an executable containing the Tcl/Tk interpreter and its libraries, as well as scripts constituting the Tcl/Tk application. It is not an installer.
Installation of PgcEdit.exe: (under Windows):
To install PgcEdit, simply copy PgcEdit.exe in a folder of your choice, such as "C:\Program Files\PgcEdit\", or in the same folder as IfoEdit.exe, with which it cohabits very well.
Then, launch PgcEdit.exe and see the Options/Install menu: it allow to automatically create the shortcuts and the files associations.
Installation of the sources (under Linux, Mac or Windows):
If you wish to use PgcEdit under Linux or Mac, or if you wish to install a Tcl/Tk interpreter under Windows, you will have to make sure that you have Tcl/Tk version 8.4 (or more). You must then install the sources of the script. The Options/Install menu will not be present, and you will have to make the installation manually.
Note that PgcEdit was only coarsely tested under Linux, and not at all under Mac. It should however run without problems.
The sources of PgcEdit are contained in PgcEdit.exe (in the folder PGCEDIT), and can be extracted with an unzip program, such as WinZip. You may also download the source files alone.
