Illegal versions where already available for quite some time now, but yesterday, NTI officially announced their latest version of the praised CD Maker recording suite.

NewTech Infosystems, Inc. (NTI), developer of the industry's easiest CD/DVD burning software, announced today a brand new version: NTI CD-Maker 6 Platinum. This release adds a wide array of new features including support for DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R and DVD+RW. In addition, NTI CD-Maker 6 now burns Data DVDs as well as copies of non-protected DVD discs.

NTI CD-Maker 6 also adds many new Audio and Video features such as MP3 CD and WMA CD, on-the-fly multi-track volume balancing, improved MP3 encoder/decoder support, VCD/SVCD SlideShow with background audio, VCD/SVCD Menus, on-the-fly AVI to MPEG-1/2 conversion, an audio wave editor and an enhanced version of NTI's JewelCase Maker.

DVD-Copy for DVD-R/-RW and +R/+RW.
Data DVDs for DVD-R/-RW and +R/+RW.
DVD-RW and DVD+RW support for FileCD packet writing.
MP3 CD and WMA CD with autorun and playlist support.
Enhanced MP3 encoding/decoding performance and flexibility.
On-the-fly Multi-track volume balancing.
Video CD (VCD)/Super Video CD (SVCD) SlideShow (with background audio).
VCD/SVCD Menus
MPEG-1/2 Encoder from AVI source files. Includes the ability to encode DivX AVIs for VCD/SVCD creation.
Audio Wave Editor.
Enhanced JewelCase Maker 2.0.
Live Update for drive support database.
Gives users with non-admin rights on NT/2000/XP systems the ability to burn CDs.
Adds support for the newest drives on the market.

It's not ready for download yet, but it should be available in early november.
