Mitsubishi announces next generation media

News from the Digital Lifestyle website informs us that very soon Mitsubishi will have next generation HD-DVD and Blu-ray discs.

"It seems that the Blu-ray and HD-DVD era are coming our way faster than we expected. Both HD-DVD’s and Blu-ray’s truly show what technology can do. Capable of storing massive amounts of data, these discs will soon replace anything we have on today’s market (CD/DVD). As the war between Blu-ray and HD-DVD for the supremacy on the market begins, so do our hopes of having the ultimate disc capable of storing stupendous amounts of data. Mitsubishi may have to answer to all of our questions. Deciding to stay neutral in the next generation DVD war, the company has announced that they will be making both Blu-ray, and HD-DVD discs."

So HD-DVD seems to have an head start in recent months but who will win the war in the long run. Only time can tell but it will be intriguing viewing.
