Ever wondered how safe you recordable media is? I mean, you make sure its recorded at a good speed, you store it in a jewel case and you only ever get whilst avoiding direct sunlight. Even after all this, the actual physical makeup of the organic dye can start playing tricks on you. Over at BitBurners one such recordable media has been found and the results of some quick tests have been published.
"Diamonds are forever, but unfortunately optical recordable media is not. Few years ago DVD recordable media was expensive and lower quality, recorders were not as good as today, 4x recording speed was considered fast. Many people however have valuable data recorded on DVDs few years ago, but have you checked the condition of your few years old media?"
