A new version of the world's best MP3 encoder has been released. But there sure are some things 'wrong' with this release:
Anyway, it's not recommended to use --alt-preset fast presets with 3.93 release. Dibrom probably doesn't recommended this release at all, if one is gonna encode with alt-presets. - JohnV at Hydrogenaudio.org
Furthermore, the sound quality of this release is not tested thoroughly. The changes made in this release affect the well-known --alt-preset switches, and because the hearing tests are not in an advanced phase, it is better for most people to wait for v3.94. The major idea of this release is to fix a bug which is slightly uncommon, but could prevent you from having an output MP3 file at all. People who get the message "calc_noise assertion failure" should consider using this release.
