It's been on the cards for a few months now, but it seems that finally Imation are closing in on the deal to make the Memorex brand part of the Imation Corp.
"Imation announced on May 1, 2006 that it has completed the previously announced acquisition of Memorex in an all cash transaction, from Hanny Holdings of Hong Kong and other shareholders of Memorex. Memorex is now a division of Imation Corp. The consumer products businesses in the Americas for both the Memorex and Imation brands will be headquartered in Cerritos, CA. The commercial (b2b) tape business will remain headquartered in Oakdale, MN. "
