Wheelie4 has posted on our forums about an alternative for the recently discontinued DVD Decrypter (under pressure of a big company, apparently Macrovision). This alternative is DVDFab Decrypter. During installation of this dvd ripper you will be able to spot the following message:
We all know DVD Decrypter is a great DVD ripper, why we need another one? Well, the reason is DVD Decrypter's development has stopped, so it will not support newer version of Sony ARccOS protection automatically. Fortunately, DVDFab Decrypter is always updated to support latest protection, so you can backup your DVD movies to hard disk as before. For example, Movie 'Closer' cannot be copied by DVD Decrypter automatically, but with the help of DVDFab Decrypter, you can copy it without problem.
