Earlier this week CDR-Zone.COM recieved a new 18x capable DVD writer. This was the Optiarc AD-7173A. optiarc is a joint venture between the Sony and NEC corporations, with the aim to become the number one supplier of optical disc drives.
Before throwing it into the recordable media reviews, I though it would be a good idea to show some early results of 18x DVD recording on this device for our viewers. It can be considered a first look but be aware that this is a very early firmware revision and so full support for some media may not be inplace yet. With many thanks to our never ending supplier of hardware SVP communications.
