Software to halt illegal DVD copying software? So everyone has the choice to install this software or not? You already know that everyone is allowed to have his own backup of every CD/DVD.
The report said that Visionware looked at 30 copying programs which use an unlock key to allow copying, and has hit on a method to stop these from working.
While it won't work on DVDs with encryption methods which have already been broken, Visionware said it would be easy to add the tech, and upgrades to it, when and as required.
