Verbatim, a leading provider of optical storage media, has redesigned its USB storage devices and upgraded its mobile storage units with faster read/write speeds.

Stylish and slimline they are more compact and lighter than the previous models. These new features mean that the entire Store 'n' Go product family is now both easier to use and much sturdier. But most important of all Verbatim has increased the read/write speeds for all models.

Read/Write speeds increased

Four times faster, Verbatim's U3 Smart Drive

The Store 'n' Go U3 Smart Drive is now four times faster than the previous model reading data at 12 MB per second instead of 3 MB and writing at speeds of 4 MB per second instead of the previous 1 MB.

While the older model came with three U3 applications preinstalled, the new USB Drive now includes six intelligent U3 software programs that transform users' personal workstations into portable offices.

The preloaded software includes Power Backup, Migo synchronization software, the reader application Zinio for easy scanning of digital publications, the Mozilla Thunderbird e-mail client with features such as intelligent virus protection and spam filters, plus ACDSee Photo Manager and the password-protection program Pass2Go.
