Today Conrexx/Ritek Europe have sent us news about the launch of their 8x DVD+RW media so we could inform our readers. We looked at their 6x DVD-RW media earlier this month with the NEC 3520 and we hope to bring news of the quality and compatiability of this new 8x DVD+RW media soon also.

Capelle aan den IJssel, 19 april 2005. Conrexx Technology B.V., is now shipping in Europe, the new Traxdata DVD+RW 8x media. The fastest +RW media in the range, this rewritable disc is perfect for video, audio and data use and offers the highest quality and most stable medium for writing, erasing and rewriting.

The new 8x recordable media can record at speeds of up to 1350KB per second allowing burn time to be greatly reduced with a 4.7GB DVD now taking only 9 minutes to record. The rewritable disc can store up to 120 minutes of digital video and audio plus storage acceleration tests have shown it provides safe storage for over 50 years making it perfect for archiving data.

“We are delighted that the shipping of this exciting Traxdata product to the European market has started”, says Floris Evers, Marketing Manager, Conrexx Technology (RITEK Europe). “Bringing the very latest technologies to market and continually enhancing the product range keeps the Traxdata brand at the very forefront of the optical media storage industry”.

The new media is designed to offer digital recording and reproduction of data, images, video and music. The Traxdata DVD+RW 8x media is fully compatable with the drives currently on the market to ensure stability and reliability and has been certified by Philips.
