 VSO Software did release a new version of DVD-Toolbox, which is a DVD video backup tool. It will extract a movie to your harddrive to be played from your local harddrive or only you to burn it on a DVD-R(W) or DVD+R(W).
Of course you can copy it with CopyToDVD back on DVD.
