Audiotools is a direct-to-disk recording tool with the facility to automatically split a recording into tracks. It can split a recording into separate tracks, either by silence detection or under manual control. Any recordings which are already on your hard-disk can be automatically split or "auditioned" to manually split them. This is considerably faster than a graphical approach and can be happily left unattended in "auto-track" mode.
Changes between versions 4.40 interim 3 and 4.40 interim 4:
The Peq could crash when using electrical notches at three frequencies. This has now been fixed.
For those who think auto-ear somewhat akin to voodoo, a new manual mixer feature has been added. This allows you to change mixer settings and see instantly what effect they have on recording levels.
Support for electrical notches has been added directly to the application. If you have material with strong electrical content, which proves hard to auto-track or analyse, this feature should solve the problem.
Notch/dc block filters are now used with auto-ear. This means that auto-ear can be configured to ignore electrical noise in-line with other features.
There was a problem reading settings from older versions. This has now been fixed.
When using Normalize in conjunction with the waveform recording method, Audiotools can now perform the operation in one pass, so long as no plugins which affect the gain precede Normalize in the current profile.
Two buttons have been added to the waveform view. The save button performs the equivalent of closing the view and immediately pressing record, the abandon button discards all changes to track breaks/soft-paint made since the view was opened.
The simple recording wizard has been overhauled to bring it up to date with the latest Audiotools technologies and to give the beginner more help with their first steps. Features | Buy Online | Download Beta | Website
