Rosoft have informed us of a new release of their Audio tools software, bringing its version number to 3.5.

" Rosoft Audio Tools includes Rosoft CD Extractor, Rosoft Audio Recorder, Rosoft MP3 Encoder, and Rosoft Media Player. You can use Rosoft CD Extractor to record you CD's to .WAV or .MP3 files, Rosoft Audio Recorder to record your LP and tape collection, and more."

Rosoft Audio Recorder:

In this release we added a form that let the user set how the filenames should be generated. You can enter a list of filenames to chose from, you can enter a default name for example: You can set the file name to match the artist and title of a record and then the program enumerates the racks. Or you can let the program create the filenames as before. That is, Track001.wav, Track002.wav, etc.

Rosoft CD Extractor:

There have been some companies about using the word record in the menu. Therefor we have change this to extractor since the program is called Rosoft CD Extractor. We have also replaced the image on the extract button from a red dot to a CD with an arrow to a computer.

The interface was too complex due to some of our users. We have tried to change the interface without removing any information field. This has been done by placing the data field for the artist, title etc at the same place as the display screen. In standby mode (non-recording/non-play mode) the program shows the artist, title... fields. When you play tracks or when you extract tracks the program shows the display screen. This gives the program a more compact look with the same information. All the buttons are still there to make the program easy to use.

We have added a function so the user can create an output folder in the General Options form. If you change the output folder field and don't click create before you click OK the folder is created.

Bug Fixes:

Rosoft Audio Recorder:

The link to the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) didn't work in the last release; this bug was fixed in this release.

Rosoft CD Extractor:

If you played tracks repeatedly and pressed next track the repeat function was turned of. This bug was fixed in this release.

Rosoft Media Player:

Bugs where found concerning open, save and search. The program didn't remember what directory that was used the last time the function was used. The program now remembers the path form where the last search started. When you save or load a list file the program now remembers the last folder.
