Sometimes you may want to remove a button but also remove
the button image. This is not possible with any one tool but you can do it with
a combination. This guide will show you how to change the menu from the original
bitmap to the modified version.
- create 4 folders called 1,2,3,4 in a new
Directory Folder
- import the original DVD into DRM
- create a new project
- in the original DVD, copy the VTS that
contains the menu (right click VTS and Copy VTS)
- in new project right click DVD and select
Add Copied VTS
- blank the complete Video Title Set 2 (select
Menu and PGC separately and then right click and hide all blocks)
- browse and find the individual menu block
(not Menu PGC) in Video Title Set 2 menu's
- right click and restore the menu block
- right click the preview and export the
image and save it as Menu.BMP to Folder 2
- edit the Menu.BMP in any paint program
to do whatever you want and save it as MOD.BMP
- export the new project DVD into Folder
1
- load Folder 1 into DVDShrink and select
Reauthor (make sure you have logical remapping disabled in DVDShrink options)
- find your menu and double click it or drag
it across to the left
- click the start/end icon (or right click
and select) to check for any chapters as some menus are grouped together
- switch to the compression setting tab
- select Still Image where it currently says
Automatic and browse to Folder1 and choose MOD.BMP
- click Backup (untick create VIDEO_TS folder)
and select Folder 2
- click OK and DVDShrink will process very
fast but don't close DVDShrink
- open Folder 2 (click the link that DVDShrink
shows) and rename VTS_01_1.VOB as New.VOB
- as you didn't close DVDShrink click OK
to close the DVDShrink process finished window
- change the Still Image setting to No compression
- keep all audio & subtitles by making
sure all are selected
- click Backup and then OK. It's alright
to delete all the files when it asks as it will leave New.VOB intact which
is all you need
- close DVDShrink
- import Folder 2 into DRM and browse to
the cell in Video Title Set 1/ Program Chains/PGC 1
- select replace block
- browse to the original block from the original
DVD and select that
- export the DVD into Folder 3
- open vobedit and browse to Folder 2 selecting
New.VOB
- click Demux
- select the MPEG Stream in top part and
click OK
- it will display New.m2v as the filename
so just click Save

make sure only the following are selected
:

- click the *.m2v file for Re-Mux and browse
to Folder 2 and select New.m2v
- click OK and IFOEdit will display Finished

- go back to the original DVD you imported
into DRM
- select replace block for the menu you have
just edited
- browse to Folder 4 and the VTS_01_1.VOB
- you will now see the new menu to select
- once you Export the DVD you should get
a new working menu with original buttons and actions
- don't forget to 'hide' any buttons you
have edited out of the image
