Not sure what I'm doing wrong here. I'm trying to merge 4 DVDs I authored (Using DVD Workshop Pro 2). I did straight copies of the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders to my HDD for the import into DVDReMake Pro 3.6.2.

I run debug and the playback hasn't hit any errors that I'm aware of.

When I export a test DVD, all works great--navigation thru links, video playback--everything is normal.

The problem is when trying to export the full DVD...each time the process nearly completes, then fails and refers back to the work log. Here's the log text after the failure:

Export dvd(D:\VOB\Finished Projects\EXE103_1-3)...
Bad index (174:DiskVobFile.cpp)
Can't write VIDEO_TS.VOB
Can't write VMG.

I don't know how to troubleshoot this error. At first I thought it was something with the .vob I imported as a custom root menu, but this error occurs with the default DVDRemakePro menu as well.

Any suggestions would be very apprectiated!

Is there any video content in the VMG domain for any of the 4 DVDs? Does this error only occur after you use the Merge feature? The default DvdReMake menu is in the last VTS after the merge so the error log does not apply to it.

Please forgive my ignorance as I'm still learning many "ins-and-outs" of this process...I'll try to answer your questions as best as I can.

In the VMG Titles list I do have several video title sets referencing each of the four DVDs.

This error only occurs after I've executed the merge and am attempting to export the full reauthored DVD containing all four programs.

UPDATE: I may have fixed this...trying DVD Decryptor instead of a raw copy and my first test worked merging 2 DVDs...I'll check back when I complete 4 if it works.

Welcome to the forum, sclaws. Yeah, that error message could be more clear. What it means basically is that DRMP is trying to create more files (to fit all the content after merger) than is allowed for this domain. Menu VOB can take at most 1Gb. Looks like after merger it gets larger than this. You can either compress original VMG(s) or "clean" them somehow (can be done after merge before export), for example convert to still, remmove menus in languages you don't need, etc

Thx for the response! I'll try that and give another go at it.
