Hey - I'm new here, I just really need some help with this issue.

I've tried backing up my copy of Alien: Director's Cut three or four times now and every program I use (WinAVI, AutoGK, DVDFab) encodes it with the audio out of sync in some places.

Now I know that both the theatrical and director's cut versions are stored on the same disc with different chapters accessed at certain points, and I believe this is where the audio is out of sync. It soon goes back in, but it makes it incredibly off-putting to watch back.

Is there some way of either repairing the AVI file, or ripping the DVD properly? Please note: I am ripping direct from DVD and not my harddrive.

Thank you to anyone that can help.
