Is this possible with this tool? Can you view the movie (VOB file) and put start and top points for frames to delete? Thanks.

Welcome to the forum, lind777. You can do it, but with some limitations: - you can cut only "GOP" accurate (i.e. not every frame, but every few frames); - you can cut only start and/or end of cells. It is not possible in current version to cut inside the cell. Well actually it can be done, but it will not be a few clicks way: it requires "manual" editing of the disk to keep navigation.

Thanks so much. Can I do this visually or do need to keep track of time codes or soemthing as I watch the movie and cut based on some time data?

All visually, you scroll through the video and you will also see time codes/size of where you are with respect to the start of the cell. Once place is found simply right click and selct "cut to here" or "cut from here".

As far as I know you need Pro to cut frames out of cells. if you want to be sure download the demo and try. The demo can do everything the full version can except export the final product.

I've succeeded in cutting a clip in the middle by copying cell by cell to a new project. I've copied the cell I wanted to cut in the middle twice (1st with add program then with add cell to keep the same program and chapter numbers). However, this generates a new Vob-Id at each cut I do that way. The result is, when you rewind there's a long pause before the part before the cut appears and starts rewinding. Is it possible to somehow avoid the vobids split or maybe merge the vobids back into 1? If it is not possible with DVDremake, is it possible with some free tools like IfoEdit, VobEdit, etc.? Thanks

Hi and welcome to the forums kingdiamond Smile http://cdr-zone.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=4793&highlight=#4793 take a look at that thread and it may give you a better idea of how to cut the middle of a cell but you will also keep the same VOB/CELL ID once you merge them Smile
