| in addition, if click the first scene works, you can reauthor the play button to mimic exactly what the first scene button is doing. should fix but will only play from the begining (i.e. wont resume) |

Seems like the same bug as I have and that other person. Auther of DvDRemake can't find the bug or at least to very easy. I am still waiting for an upgrade which corrects this bug cause it is realy anyoing and redirecting stuff ect is not why I bought dvdremake. I got it cause it was easy to use in normal mode al that advange stuff is to complicated and I dont feel like putting time into it. here is the url to the other topic about same problem http://cdr-zone.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=539 To bad we here so little about the status of this bug from DimadSoft cause it is clearly a bug which people have and find anoying. |

| muskusrat can you give me one of the example movies (including pal/ntsc, region, etc..) and what you did in the reauthoring process. Also. can you check the following. 1. Load raw (unaltered) dvd, and directly export. Does play button still work? -jp |

All menu's work fine but play movie hangs the dvd (crashes it how ever you want to call it). Movie Bruce Allmighty PAL, did direct export but bug remained. Bug is not play movie option but it just hangs on very first screen. The one where you select languases for the rest of the DVD. |

| FIRST - MY USUAL REGION IS 4 1-TIMELINE - REGION 1 - NTSC - Cut all extras and trailers - dont play movie, except if we go to "scene seletion" first scene. I make a DVDR only with the movie, without menus. The original have a lot of selections: a- dont play in micro if the "TV out" enable. b- Parental restrition c- Region play- very strong - Consuming my choise in DVD drive player and my DVDrewitable. 2-KILL BILL - REGION 1 - NTSC - Cut all extras and trailers - the same.. - I try to redirect the command in the "play movie" direct to same cell in the "scene selection" and he hang. 3- SCORPION KING - REGION 4 - NTSC - Cut all extras and trailers - the same.. |

Just to cut off all the tails as it seems that this is the only serious issue in DvdReMake 1.X some people have with some movies. Can those how have this problem check 1.4.6? Does it make any difference? Try, if you can, this disk on another dvd player. Does it play? What players have problems with playback? And please don't hide anything that has buttons when you do this test to ensure that problem is due to DvdReMake and not becouse of messed up due to editing navigation. Ideal would be to hide some blocks inside the main movie so that disk is small enough to fit to DVD5. Another question: One of the users some time ago reported that exported disk (without editing) does not play with software dvd player. We were not able to reproduce this. Anybody else has this problem? |

Hello ReMake Users, Dimad suggested I post this inquiry to the group at large since a few others have experienced the same condition as I have seen. This thread most closely matches the topic so here were my original comments: Quote:last night I was working on a different disc altogether "Starman" and I hide the usual first block/cell in the _TS vob which of course is where typically the warning is located. After doing this I changed the 'first play to Jump_TT and did the test export, it worked fine on the PC then I burned to a re-writable disc to test in the set top. What I saw there was a problem with the menu links, pressing "Play" movie button (from Main Menu) called up the "Trailer" menu. ??? I looked again at the commands in the command pane and I see 28 pre, 2 post, and 0 cell commands in this cell. (Note: First Play worked as instructed) I see where Dimad posted a reply to another user stating that 'one would be careful' in modifying these commands as they may be the only 'valid way out of the cell' I can confirm his comments as every attempt I made using the ifoedit tool always led to unsatisfactory results. I used every guide I found posted online, followed the procedure step for step and always ended up with coasters. (then I got wise and bought RW discs ) Does anyone know of a method to keep the pre and post commands intact and yet add/create navigation links where (I) wish to force the disc to follow. (i.e.) Kind of like using the cell commands to skip over hidden cells in a program chain?? Any Ideas would be grateful here. |

@NowWhereWasI try getting hold of Mark's Tray DVD player as it will tell you a lot of helpful values if you click the show SPRM's/GPRM's icon (try HERE for link) when you are skipping certain parts then maybe some values are not being updated so when it's checking the values and deciding what to play then it's getting confused. With the tray player you can compare the two results once it gets to the menu's and maybe identify which value needs modifying some DVD's will not allow you to skip easily as they make sure that if parts are skipped and values are not updated to say the player has been here then it will either loop, crash or go somewhere completely different what I have done in the past is used the Tray player and made a note of the values when it get's to the main menu. I then set these values in the first play I think so that when it is sent to the main menu it already has the values and it then stays there I hope you know what I mean once you have the player |
