I'm following the guide here: http://www.dimadsoft.com/dvdremakepro/guide_ht_bypass_menu.php I followed that guide to the teeth, but couldn't get it to work with my dvd. I'm attempting to backup my Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 (good stuff, lol Smile ). Ideally, when I choose "Play Movie", I'd like it to jump straight to the widescreen version of the movie rather than give me the choice of widescreen or fullscreen. After following the instructions in that guide, my DVD would freeze right after I clicked "Play Movie" (meaning it was having trouble with the commands i edited). I would like to try that "Mark's DVD Tray Player" because I've heard it displays the DVD commands as they happen. That might help determine where I'm hanging up. Unfortunately the program crashes when I open it (is there a fix?). Any tips on how to fix my dvd? Would it be helpful for me to post the commands that the dvd has? Thanks for any help!

Hi and welcome to the forums Smile what version of the player do you have? I got plagued with it crashing for some reason and got a newer version. Even now it's a CPU hogger and freezes once in a while if you post commands I'm sure we can help or at least try Wink

Ok, as MackemX pointed out, I fixed my issues with the dvd. I completely messed up a variable and that froze my dvd playback. About the tray player. I have an older version because that is the only one i could find to download. I believe its Pro Version 1.96. I found the forum where Markham posted info on a new release, but the link to the program was dead or removed.

I wouldn't mind version 1.96 and you can get 1.98 from here as SirQUK is hosting it. PM me if you can email me 1.96. In fact if anyone has any other version please PM me as I would like to try different versions as 1.03 works great for me yet 1.98 doesn't regarding aspect ratio Sad DOWNLOAD 1.98 link I read that version 1.99 had issues so it's offline at the moment and 1.98 ain't been put back Sad

After further inspection... Sorry i don't actually have 1.96. Apparently the README file was not updated and was incorrect. The README lists it as ver. 1.96, but the helpfile says its 1.98. Sorry for the mis-information.

no probs Smile I'm just sick of version 1.98 cropping the borders as if I've zoomed in Sad. I guess I will have to go to the forums myself and have a look around sometime I think my crashing wa's codec related as I was messing on with my codecs at the time of it breaking. I also noticed that in the forums that crashing may have occured due to DirectX also but that was with a real early version I don't know what is causing my issue though and why it's such a CPU hogger Sad

I have the most recent version of direct X, and I have a brand spanking new computer. No codecs have been installed, so I don't think thats my prob. Thanks for all your help!
