HI everybody I have a sony vaio laptop vgn-fs115s which have a optical drive dw-d56a the drive wasnt work perfect after a while it doesnt read some cd or dvd i decide to change it with new one and i bought a dw-q520a after i pluged a new one and reboot my machine when the vaio logo came up its stop and my os doesnt come up.please somebody tell me what can i do.please help me .

Ok lets start from the beginning... does it boot when the new drive is not connected?

hi sir yes its does.and when i put back my old dvd drive the computer boot perfect.and when i pluged the new one it just the vaio logo screen come up.and windows doesnt start. is it something i can do with my bios (primary master....)?

Yes I suspect you have to fiddle in the VAIO BIOS, but i have no experience with the BIOS's of those laptops. Did you check the manufacturer info if VAIO's were supported?
