After creating buttons in a cell, I split the cell, deleted the buttons from the second cell (that was created as a result of the split) and exported, examined it through VobEdit and saw that the BOV information was still there, in the second cell (but I do not think the buttons were showing, just the information was not cleaned up).

You delete the bottons, but not the highlights (this is not possible I think).

It is actually, quite the opposite. The VOB structure shows that I have deleted the highlight information, but not the button information. :)
