I have been reading up on IFOEdit and Pgcedit forums but still am not understanding how to remove these anoying trailers which appear when you insert a DVD. Some allow you to fast forward, but not all and you are condemned to view all of them before getting to what you want. Is there a graphic interface program that would do the job for us less technically versed people? Otherwise is there a step by step procedure somewhere I can get to use either of these programs to do what I need? Thanks alot!

Hi SirQUK, Thanks a lot for the answer, I have finally had a chance to try out dvdremake pro and althoygh it seems easy to use, using the manual, the DVD I create and burn on a RW (for now) doesn't seem to play correctly. Here is what I have done: 1. Import ripped DVD from HDD 2. Go to VTS Menu where the unwanted ad is 3. Right click on the image and Hide the block 4. Save temporary DVD files / Save whole DVD (different directories) 5. Burn DVD video files using NERO and using option to create VIDEO DVD So I have exported the resulting DVD in different ways, but neither one plays correctly. Do you or anyone know what I might be doiong wrong? Thanks Bobby

What version did you try out? Under Options, did you enable Auto Bypass? Did you test this on software player before burning? Don't see why it doesn't work.

Hi, I have the latest version and yes Auto Bypass is always enabled. I tried running the files from HDD using PowerDVD and that didnt work either. However when I do Debug from the program, it seems to run fine.

demo or registered? Can you elaborate on what does not work? Where is it supposed to go after the ad? How 'bout don't hide the unwanted ad and just export, does it play in PowerDVD? Do you have other software player to try?

registered! I could try it in Windows Media player I guess. Basically it doesnt work at all, not from hard disk on PowerDVD nor when burnt on a DVD'RW does it work on a DVD player. I didnt try as yet to export without having hidden the ad. Perhaps its a fault with the way the original DVD is done up, I will try with another original DVD.

Without modifying anything, do a test export and test. You haven't told me what does not exactly work. Does it reach the menu? Can you select Root menu or any title to play in the player? What is the movie and region?

The problem is that when you put the DVD in the stand alone DVD player it does read it at all, no menus nothing. The same thing happens with PowerDVD. The movie is Brokeback mountain, Region 2. I just did an import and export without modifying anything and the same thing happened. Comparing the files in original directory with those exported, I found that VIDEO_TS.BUP size had changed from 30K to 26K. Not sure why. I am attaching both, perhaps you can analyse.

@bobby1214 Sounds to me you have broken the DVD structure path somewhere. Here is something you can try. Click on the banner in my signature and and download one of the installers. RipIt4Me now has a jump to first menu routine that works really well. Try this and see if you can get a playback okay with PowerDVD. If it works good then you know it was something you were doing wrong in DRMP. Regards

Unfortunatly I dont have the original DVD any longer, all I have is the ripped version in my HDD. Even if there is a broken structure path in that, how come it works if I burn what I have without altering anything through DVDremake pro?
