Just last week CDR-Zone.COM released a review of the BEnQ 16x DVD-R media. WHere supported it seemed to be of good quality but could of been improved upon. Typically!, now we have a new firmware released for one of the used recording devices for that review! This was the second disc recorded using the default settings on this drive for the review. It is clear to see that Sum8 and Jitter/Beta has been greatly improved in this new firmware. The eagle eyed may also notice that the Plextor now makes more use of the buffer than with previous firmware revision. A much better result with the new firmware is achieved!

Disc 2 recorded at 16x Reverted to a 12x recording strategy half way through the recording. Auto Strategy and Power Rec are enabled as always.
