| Hi i wanted to know if i rip a commercial dvd movie can i then use copytodvd to make an exact copy or burn it on a dvd-r with the interactive menu and all its features ? |

| Hi there, If it was ripped properly, all protections removed, then yes, you can burn the Video_TS directory with CopyToDVD or any other burning software. Once it's ripped on your HDD, it's plain data ! Make it has been shrinked if you with to burn on a DVD5 (Single Layer Media). If you just rip the whole movie, you will need a Dual Layer Media 90% of the time ! |

If you just rip the whole movie, you will need a Dual Layer Media 90% of the time ! | I always like to use the vervatim 8.5 gb dual layer discs because that way i dont have to worry about shrinking and i use anydvd to get rid of the copyright protection..I do have sonic my dvd but i would prefer to use copytodvd because the interface is simpler and easier to use to burn a whole movie to a dvd.. |
