I don't know why, but DvdReMake Pro 3.0 runs very slowly in both of my systems (2GHz and 1,46GHz). It consumes ~100% of cpu power and seems to freeze for a few seconds after everything I do. In other words, it is very painful to use. EDIT: This issue does not appear with versions 2.x.x. Both systems are running Windows 2000 pro SP4, and have 1GB of ram.

I've got the same problem here, no idea why this happens. Have you checked your taskmanager (Performance tab)? Take a look & you can see that while RM is exporting all available RAM gets to be used but memory use is very small. RM 2 runs very smooth here as well.

Same here. I first thought it might be an issue with my computer, but now that other people experience the same behaviour, it seems to be an issue with drm 3.

Putting your setting like while help to speed up RM, you can enable them again when you're 'fine tuning' your project (to see if there are errors & stuff like that).

During testing, we noticed this too, but the release version is a lot better than when it was in beta development based on performance. Due to the customizable GUI library addition among other things, it will require more system resources than v2. High-end systems will have no problem with v3, but low-end will. 1GB of RAM will definitely help. I'm sure Dimad will try his best to improve on this. For the time being, if v3 takes a toll on your system, in the Options dialog, uncheck all the boxes in Domain Content Preview section, don't keep history, and set "Menus animation" to None. Also, try to minimize other memory-intensive applications from running. Anyways, just use your best judgment.

I have the same as well on both my boxes. Both are XP Pro SP2, One is a i3.2 GHz with a gig of ram and sata raid, other is i2.5 GHz with 512. Both versions of 3.0 do the same as the above users for me as well, 2.x works fine.. Un-checking everything in the domain content preview box as suggested does help. Rick

My system is P4-3.0, 1G RAM, XP SP2 and I don't have this problem. I don't know what the difference is. The only time I notice any delay is when I'm in block view mode and it keeps "skipping black frames" for every block every time I make a change, and even that is fairly quick. I tend to work with several other progs open too. Do you guys with problems have the latest motherboard/chipset/IDE drivers? It also has 2 SATA hard drives (WD Caviars, not RAIDed), a USB2 hard drive, IDE DVD-ROM + 2 DVD-RWs, GeForce FX 5200 with 2 monitors attached, SCSI scanner ...

After removing all entries in the registry regarding DVDRemake & Dimadsoft, 3.0.1 is now running sweetly on only 250meg RDRAM. Thanks for the tips guys Cool Regards joojoo

"Show pgc/cell" in "Domain Content Group" can also affect performance for titlesets with large amount of PGCs.

We've done some improvements in 3.0.5. The effect can be seen quite clearly on this plot (big thanks to pak2 for testing this)

Just to mention that reading from an iso image isn't that handy anymore with DRM v3. The hard disk keeps being very busy even after the import. I tested importing of that same DVD using the file mode of dvddecrypter (instead of the iso mode) and as a result the hard disk becomes quiet very soon after importing. j.
