Post with attachments

Suppose you load up 2 or more attachments, is there any way I can put my comments between the pictures? Right now, the pictures are below my post. Or I can try submit first to know the real image link, then edit my post with Img link, but that would be a hassle.

This forum appears to use Acyd Burn's phpBB MOD for attachments which doesn't do inline attachments.

You cannot add any comments below the images, but you can add file comments to the file when you upload, see this post

ok, didn't know I can put comments that long. What is the limit of the comment? I assume you have a character-count restriction where you cannot type past the limit!? Would you mind display the limit under the File Comment header. That would be helpful.

It's the `comment` field in the `phpbb_attachments_desc` table. Defaults to a varchar(255).

I miss those review banners on the right lol. But i do believe the limit is 255 characters which I understand can be annoying if a long explanation is needed. This I think is well within Divides capabilities.

You don't have to preview to know if your message is truncated. The textbox should have a textfield length constraint. When you reach the max, you can type no further. Then you know how you should rephrase. I think the comment field having varchar(255) is enough. After all, this is just a description of the file, not an explanation. That's why I ask to have the ability to add text after the picture, then there's no constraint. Sometimes you need to load up pictures for step-by-step instructions, before-n-after results, whatever the need maybe. One way can be accomplished is mentioned in my first post. After I upload the image, an arbitrary-three-character is generated after the file name before the extension. If that generated file name is shown in the Filename field, then I can use the Img link in my post and continue to comment after the image, along with a brief description of the image in the File Comment field. Suggestion: 1. It would be better to have the filesize shown after the filename: filename.png (5 KB). There's no need to have Filesize by itself, just to save space. 2. It would be nice if you can put comments beside the image, something like a checkbox to indicate if you want to do so if the image is small enough. Again to save space, and to make it look more cool for the forum.
