| Please help ! I have a Sony DWD-22A DVD Writer and have just bought the new brand of RiDisc 8x DVD-R. The only thing is, when I write the disc the software hangs whilst writing or the discs if it is successful doesn't play ! The drive was working perfectly until I open this new pack of discs. Any suggestions ? |

Hi Coolbloke and welcome to the forums. Ridisc 8x-R is notoriuslly varied in quality per spindle bought They quite often have different dyes codes and use different manufactureres in a bid to make their prices as cheap as possible for the consumer. This mass production can result in bad batches or batches that work upto silly person GB only. A few of things can help discover if this is the issue. 1. Are you using the latest firmware for your drive ( manufacturers website ) 2. Are you recording more than 4gb to these disks 3. What media ID do these Ridisc have ? So how do you find all this information out to help us help you? May i refer you to This Thread where I have only just expolained exactly the same procedure to save me typing twice If you can supply us with this information as in that thread by using our atttachment option to post the findings it would greatly speed up this process. good luck and let us know how you get on. |
