| i,ve had the above cd-rewriter for about 3 months now,no matter what software i use it cannot read more than 12x and record at 40x.I have tried 48x media and 52x,if there is anyone out their that can help please get in touch a.s.a.p!!! i have upgraded my computer recently and it has not made any difference what so ever,by the way i am using win xp pro.I hope i am not alone in this issue. |

| Hi sizzle, sometimes some writers such as plextor and sony ( and yamaha too ) wil not burn to the max speed indicated on the cdr. You need to use media such as Verbatim, or other expensive media to get the full speed..have you tried sony media to confirm the speed? my plextor 40x refuses to write at 40x unless i use plextor media that came with it...best i can get is 32x |
